Three exciting learnership programmes for 2023
Berry Astrapak is proactively helping to curb unemployment by offering three exciting learnership programmes in the hope of kickstarting careers. The apprenticeship and internship programmes have proven extremely popular, highlighting the need for job creation in South Africa. Further to these programmes, the Consupaq manufacturing site in Durban will be launching a Setter Training Programme.
In their thriving plastics manufacturing company as a training ground, Berry Astrapak is enabling interns to gain invaluable work experience through skills development. The success in the programme lies with its people and the teams at Berry Astrapak, from administration and finance to the workshop trade, who are making a difference in their environment.
Apprenticeship Programme
Berry Astrapak is looking for ambitious, inquisitive and driven people, who want to join our Apprenticeship programme.
The successful candidates will gain on-the-job training in the Maintenance department and attend Technical Theory classes (TT blocks) at selected Technical Colleges to further their engineering knowledge and skills.
The apprenticeship will lead to a Trade Test and the successful candidate should qualify as an Artisan at the end of the programme.

Internship Programme
Berry Astrapak is looking for ambitious, inquisitive and driven people, who want to join our Internship Programme and get hands-on experience in a leading plastic product design and engineering company.
The Internship programme opportunity will provide successful candidates with additional training and work experience which will afford successful individuals an opportunity to learn and grow their skills and knowledge. The fields include Human Resources, Finance, Industrial Engineering / Production / Operations Management, Safety Health Environment and Quality, and Supply Chain / Procurement.
Astrapak offers a 12-month holistic program which provides exposure to talented professionals whilst accelerating personal development.
The Interns will be based at our Durban business unit.

Setter Training Programme (Consupaq)
Berry Astrapak is looking for ambitious, inquisitive, and driven people, who want to join our Setter Training Programme and get hands-on experience in a leading plastic product design and engineering company.
The successful candidates will gain experience in the manufacturing process through on-the-job training in the key areas of the business.
The Trainee Setter learnership programme will lead to a Plastics Manufacturing qualification.
