Food safety compliance is key for JJ Precision
RPC Astrapak congratulates the JJ Precision site on retaining their FSSC 22000 certification after a recent audit at the Maxmead premises. Quality is an important element of the Group’s operating practices and the recertification confirms that JJ Precision remains compliant – an essential key customer requirement.
Being certified at the highest level not only provides good business practice but it also outlines stringent guidelines for the safety teams to follow. Having systems like the internationally renowned FSSC 22000 in place ensures that the company remains at the highest level of safety and gives confidence regarding the packaging that we are supplying, particularly when it comes to food product packaging.
Quality Assurance Manager Nelash Harinarain credited his team for keeping the standard high when it comes to quality and processes within the factory. “Food Safety Coordinator Ashton Ranjith and our entire Quality Team, as well as our external partners Wareham, are instrumental in ensuring that the latest developments on food safety are always implemented and understood. Wareham also assist with on-site training on food safety and they conduct independent audits at the plant.”
The FSSC 22000 scheme is recognised by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI). This allows Astrapak to use FSSC 22000 to meet the requirements of several global retailers or major branded food companies under a single, internationally recognised food safety management system.*
